The Leatherman Skeletool is a really handy tool to have on you wherever you are adventuring. The first thing you will notice when you pick up the tool is the weight, or lack of weight! The Skeletool weighs just 5.0 oz | 142 g. This is because the Skeletool has had holes drilled wherever possible to cut down weight but without sacrificing strength.
You are however sacrificing the number of tools to get down to this weight. But Leatherman have done a great job of picking tools that you are likely to use regularly.
The Skeletool contains 7 Tools and 2 Bits
NeedleNose Pliers - The Pliers are one of the two main tools on the Skeletool, it packs inside the Skeletool and when the Skeletool is unfolded it is available for use.
Regular Pliers - The secondary tool on the Needle nose pliers are the regular pliers.
Wire Cutters - At the base of the pliers is a wire cutter.
420HC Combo Knife - The Second primary tool is the Knife, this unfolds from the Skeletools arm and the two arms provide an ergonomically shaped grip. The knife is half serrated and the cut out hole makes it easy to grip to open.
Carabiner Clip/Bottle Opener - The Carabiner Clip allows you to easily clip the knife onto a belt loop or your rucksack, but it also cleverly doubles as a Bottle opener.
Large Bit Driver - The Large bit driver includes Phillips #1 and #2, Screwdriver 3/16″ and 1/4″.

Every function of this tool has been designed to work at it’s best, what you get here are 7 tools which you would be happy using as main tools. Other Multi Tools may have more functions but many you wouldn’t consider seriously using as they don’t grip right or feel strong enough. The Skeletool proves less is more!
